L.I.E.S. stands for 'Life Is Extremely Strange' also known as the Hamburg artist Jonas Gerberding. The artist studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Hamburg, and has already exhibited and painted walls in Hamburg, Johannesburg, Soweto, The Hague and New York. L.I.E.S. works primarily with stencils and spray paint on canvas and wood. His works are often surrounded by a certain melancholy and - as the artist's name suggests - often arise from a critical and skeptical attitude.
